Professional Sound System Interface

The Professional Sound System Interface provides a kit of audio interface and cables parts to connect the recording computer to virtually all sound systems.

Motu 4Pre USB Interface

The Motu 4Pre interface provides four professional microphone and line inputs for 4-Channel recording.

Motu 8Pre USB Interface

The Motu 8Pre interface provides four professional microphone and line inputs for 8-Channel recording.

Telephone Interface

The JK Audio QuickTap audio interface connects the computer to a phone using a tap of the desk phone handset. Also available is the CellTap, which can be used for connection to cellphones or portable telephones that have a headphone jack.

Conference Microphones

Conference microphones are available in a variety of styles and pickup patterns.

Audio Technica Pro 44

The Pro 44 is a low profile, boundary-type microphone. It is directional with pickup over 180° in front of the microphone. it is ideal for pickup of people sitting at a conference table facing an audience. It is also suitable where some directionality is needed to assist in speaker identification, such as a deposition or administrative hearing. It requires a microphone interface to the computer (see Audio Interface Devices above).

Audio Technica U841A

The U841A is a low profile, boundary-type microphone. It is omni-directional (pickup of 360° around microphone ). It is ideal for pickup of people sitting around a conference table. It also includes special electronics that prevent the microphone from picking up noise from cellphones. This is especially important for court reporting, where noise from cellphones can interfere with accurate production of a transcript. The U841A requires a microphone interface to the computer (see Audio Interface Devices above).

Voice Tracker II Microphone

The Voice Tracker II microphone is suitable for recording in small to medium sized rooms where there is background noise that could interfer with the recording (such as air conditioning or a video projector). The Voice Tracker II has a range of 10 - 15 feet in a noisy room, which is less than the Voice Tracker I microphone, so it will not pick up distant voices in larger rooms. Connects to the computer using USB, which also supplies the power to run the microphone. Very light and portable.
