Audio Technica Pro 44

The Pro 44 is a low profile, boundary-type microphone. It is directional with pickup over 180° in front of the microphone. it is ideal for pickup of people sitting at a conference table facing an audience. It is also suitable where some directionality is needed to assist in speaker identification, such as a deposition or administrative hearing. It requires a microphone interface to the computer (see Audio Interface Devices below).

Audio Technica U841A

The U841A is a low profile, boundary-type microphone. It is omni-directional (pickup of 360° around microphone ). It is ideal for pickup of people sitting around a conference table. It also includes special electronics that prevent the microphone from picking up noise from cellphones. This is especially important for court reporting, where noise from cellphones can interfere with accurate production of a transcript. The U841A requires a microphone interface to the computer (see Audio Interface Devices below).
